Master Class with Casting Director
Come hone your auditioning skills for both musical theatre and on-camera with our master class with NYC casting director Rikki Gimelstob**! We are pleased to announce this master class with benefit Soul Cycle!
Our workshop offers two classes: musical theatre and on-camera.
In the musical theatre class students will work on song interpretation and performance. We will cover how to choose the perfect 32 bar cut, how to pick appropriate songs for specific auditions and most importantly, how to walk into any audition with confidence! Students should come with their book and a taped accompaniment of 2 songs that they can work on.
In the on-camera class we will cover slating, how to successfully navigate a cold read and how to analyze a script. We will also practice working with an off-camera reader as well as acting with a partner on-camera. You will begin to learn the nuanced difference between stage acting and acting for the camera. Rikki will provide scripts for this class.
Our workshop will culminate with an open dialogue Q&A in which parents are welcome to join.
$80.00 (Musical Theatre Class)
$80.00 (On Camera Class)
$140.00 (Both Classes)
